Tonight, at 10:00 p.m., Marek Kwiatkowski's monthly show - Electroacoustic Music - will begin, of course, broadcast by El-Stacja radio:  https://el-stacja.pl/

Among the various recordings there will also be the premiere of the composition Extreme Elegy of Shadows, which is one of several that make up the new project, Extrēmus. This is our joint work, mine and violist Krzysztof Komendarek-Tymendorf, an attempt to explore new sonic areas using this noble instrument and electronics.

On June 6, you'll be able to watch the play „Dziwne Rzeczy” for the second time (of course, at the Plague House in Gdańsk), although it'll be completely different from the premiere – because it's an improvised performance. I'll be performing live music for it, obviously while on stage with the actors. Tickets have been available for purchase for some time now: https://www.kupbilecik.pl/imprezy/165142/Gda%C5%84sk/Dziwne+Rzeczy/

On May 9, the premiere of the play "Strange Things" took place, an improvised performance with my live music, combining horror with comedy and set in the 1980s. On stage, actors: Ola Szulc, Ola Tutajewicz, Krzysztof Gojowy, Krzysztof Kopytek and Mateusz Dymnicki, with my participation as composer and music performer, and Tadek Jaśkiewicz at the console.

I'm pleased to announce that my trip to Graz for the Sound and Music Computing Conference, which will take place from 7 to 12 July at MUMUTH – Haus für Musik und Musiktheater, has been co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. During this festival, I'll have the opportunity to present my own composition "VIVA L’autunno", with a video by Remígiusz Wojaczek.

I wrote about it earlier, now more officially – for the second time in a row I'l have the opportunity to present myself to the audience of the Radiophrenia Glasgow event, a radio festival organized by the Glasgow based collective. It will take place from April 7 to 20, and the detailed program can be found here: https://radiophrenia.scot/schedule/ - starting from April 8, the following compositions will appear in turn: Summa Technologiae - Homo Sapiens, Vanishing Signs on the Sky, Metropolis Balticum / Part 3 – Industry, Metropolis Balticum / Part 6 – Interiors, Waveless Storm and Dossier of Oblivion.

On Thursday, March 27, of course on Radio UAP, the premiere episode of my show "Spotkania w Audiosferze" (Encounters in the Audiosphere) will be broadcast. It'll start at 7:30 p.m. Reprises on subsequent Thursdays, at the same time, and on Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. And what will we listen to this time? In the first hour, I'll present some interesting electroacoustic pieces, both completely new and older. I'll also try to solve the riddle – in which year was the first synthesizer album released. And also when was a certain song recorded, which to some extent can be considered the progenitor of synth pop. The solution may be... really surprising. In the second hour, a guest will appear, an excellent composer, Krzysztof Wołek, with whom I'll talk about his music, artistic development, and a little about the future of music. And once again, we'll dive into the archives, this time jazz. I hope that it'll be an interesting broadcast and that I'll show something that listeners did not know before. I invite you. You can listen to Radio UAP here: radio.uap.edu.pl

This Thursday, March 27, my composition VIVA L’autunno, for string orchestra and electronics (fixed audio track), accompanied by a wonderful video by Remigiusz Wojaczek, will be performed live as part of AV@CMU 2025. The event will take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the Kresge Theater, located at the College of Fine Art. It will start at 7:30 PM local time. Organized by The School of Music at Carnegie Mellon University.

Yesterday I received information that after the competition for the Gdańsk Cultural Scholarship Creative Fund 2025 was decided, my project entitled Urbs Memoriarum - an audio record of memories of Gdańsk seniors received funding under this program. Urbs Memoriarum is to be a musical composition with documentary features, an audio record of memories of Gdańsk seniors, captured in the form of an electroacoustic impression, combining the musical layer with fragments of the stories of the characters themselves, of course in their own words. How they remember Gdańsk from the past, how it changed before their eyes, what places are particularly important to them, what events are associated with them. The material collected in this way will be used to create a whole, combining the spoken word with electroacoustic music, instrumental parts and field recordings, characteristic places in Gdańsk that are associated with these memories.
