Dixi – for accordion and electronics, a brand new double album CD / music DVD (which contains 5.1 versions of the same material) has been just released by Opus Series / Requiem Records.

Album produced by Dariusz Mazurowski, who is responsible for live electronics, effects, tape processing and diffusion. Contains 8 compositions by various artists, including More Equal than Others by Dariusz Mazurowski. Also the title track, Dixi, was rewritten (for 3 accordions and live electronics) by Dariusz Mazurowski form original tape piece by Eugeniusz Rudnik.

Scientific conference devoted to accordion in modern music was organized by the Academy of Music in Gdansk. Two pieces by Dariusz Mazurowski were performed during conference concert (at the Senate Hall) – Soundscape with the Fall of Icarus (with Paweł Zagańczyk) and More Equal than Others (by Krzysztof Olczak). Premiere broadcast of 30 Novembers, brand new large scale acousmatic / radiophonic piece, commissioned by the Czech Radio for the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, a non-violent transition of power in what was then Czechoslovakia, occurring from 17 November to 29 December 1989. Scientific conference devoted to electroacoustic music was organized by the Academy of Music in Gdansk, curated by Krzysztof Olczak and Dariusz Mazurowski. More Equal than Others was performed again (by Krzysztof Olczak – accordion) during November edition of New Music in the Old Town Hall concert series. This series is organized by The Baltic Sea Culture Centre, with Polish Society of Electroacoustic Music and Composition Faculty of the Academy of Music in Gdansk. During the same event a transcription (made by Dariusz Mazurowski) of Dixi, piece originally composed for tape by Eugeniusz Rudnik (in 1967), was performed by Krzysztof Olczak, Elżbieta Rosińska and Paweł Zagańczyk – accordions, with Dariusz Mazurowski – live electronics.
