Scientific conference devoted to electroacoustic music was organized by the Academy of Music in Gdansk, curated by Krzysztof Olczak and Dariusz Mazurowski. On Monday, during conference concert at the Auditorium, Dossier of Oblivion was performed. Also a paper by Dariusz Mazurowski, Space, diffusion, perception – Selected techniques and processes concerning spatial sound in acousmatic and mixed music, was presented during Tuesday panels. More Equal than Others was performed again (by Krzysztof Olczak – accordion) during November edition of New Music in the Old Town Hall concert series. This series is organized by The Baltic Sea Culture Centre, with Polish Society of Electroacoustic Music and Composition Faculty of the Academy of Music in Gdansk. During the same event a transcription (made by Dariusz Mazurowski) of Dixi, piece originally composed for tape by Eugeniusz Rudnik (in 1967), was performed by Krzysztof Olczak, Elżbieta Rosińska and Paweł Zagańczyk – accordions, with Dariusz Mazurowski – live electronics. Dariusz Mazurowski new piece, commissioned by Krzysztof Olczak and composed for him, More Equal than Others, for accordion and tape will be premiered at the Janusz Hajdun Concert Studio of Radio Gdansk, on Wednesday, October 30. More info about this event here:

VIVA L’autunno (with video created by Remigiusz Wojaczek) was performed during the Acousmonium conference / festival organized by the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music (CIME / ICEM) in Krakow.

Premiere performance of the Golem XXI, commissioned by the festival Zbliżenia, will be presented on Saturday, September 7, at 9 pm, at the concert venue of the New Synagogue in Gdansk, Partyzantów street 7. It’ll be a live electroacoustic music, with multichannel sound diffusion and lots of other instruments, sound objects, some of them pretty unconventional and surprising. We’ll play as a duo with accordionist Paweł Zagańczyk.

Dariusz Mazurowski will perform his composition during joint events: the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival and International Computer Music Conference 2019, in June 19, at the Loreto Theater / Sheen Center for Thought & Culture, New York. Find more details here:

Bye, Bye, See You Tomorrow will be performed during May edition of New Music in the Old Town Hall cycle. The concert will begin at 7 pm at the Old Town Hall in Gdansk. Far Beyond the Heliopause, a film made for Dariusz Mazurowski’s piece, directed by Roman Przylipiak has won another award – for Best Experimental Film on Festival Cinematográfixo de Mérida, Mexico 2019.
